The Purpose of Mothers Day

 Anna Jarvis is recognized as the founder of mothers day. Although, she never married and never had kids. She got the inspiration from her own mother. Her mother used to desire that someday someone will honor all mothers, living and dead. For many people their mother is their positive light, love, inspiration but for many more, their mother is not a source of stability and love but instead is their first lesson in the unfairness of life, the cruelty of humanity, and the subsequent cynicism that follows into their adulthood. For the former, mothers day is a reminder of how blessed they are, but it should be a daily celebration rather than an annual one. For the latter, it is a reminder of what they never had.
