First Time Using A Writing Prompt

 The sky opened up above me and the raindrops were floating in the sunlight dazzling like diamonds suspended all around me. I looked east, my gaze resting on a rainbow shining brilliant and clear. I whispered in awe, but no sooner had the breath left my being in that brief sigh of wonder than the sky closed up again and the rainbow was gone. But I saw the hope between the grey, the love between the rain, it was just for a minute but I felt it. However, this moment of bliss was rained on by thunder. I was brought back to reality by means of a spine shivering [clap]. I started rushing to work, my heart still palpitating from the sudden jolt back to reality; unfortunately oblivious as to why I was staring at the sky in a time like this. To be honest, turning back would be a better option. This morning I awoke to three snoozed alarms, thrusting my entire morning into chaos. A moment ago, as I was making my way down the streets, a cab decided to assault me with a bucket's worth of water. Now I'm running a marathon to work in a drab Grey suit bedazzled by mud and rain. But alas, my eyes finally met with my office building. I felt a sense of relief wash over me. Upon making it up to the fifteenth floor, I met with an excruciatingly large number of eyes. As my desk comes into view so does a familiar face, currently grinning from cheek to cheek. "Fashionably late huh?", said Elina. Usually I'd plot day and night just to see one smile on that face, but this smile is telling me I've been made the punchline of all her jokes for today.To be continued...
